The Malian diva, the living legend of the music of the world, the owner of two Grammy figurines, the laureate of the UNESCO Prize for the Enrichment and Development of Music Uma Sangare on the African continent has long had the status of icons. She entered the history of world music not only as the owner of a penetrating and yet powerful vocals, as the most successful performer of songs in the style of "vassulu", but also as a true ambassador of goodwill, an ardent fighter for women's rights, an opponent of early marriages and polygamy. During her long career, Uma Sangare collaborated with an incredible number of jazz, classical, ethnic and pop music stars, including Ali Farka Touré, Angelique Kijo, Bela Fleck, Tony Allen, Salif Keita, Baaba Maal, Femi Kuti, Fatoumata Diawara, Esperanza Spaulding , Seal, Pink, Indiana.Arri, Jeff Beck, Marcus Miller, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Nitin Sooney, and others. At the beginning of 2017, thanks to many years of persistent fan persuasion, the efforts of the founders of the label Nø Førmat! Laurent Biseau and Thibault Mullings, Swedish and French producers Andreas Unge and the production team Albert recorded the album Mogoya - the first studio work Uma Sangare for the last eight years. The cross-cutting theme of the disk is human relationships (the name Mogoya can be translated precisely as "human relationships today"). Umu describes the specific problems that people now face in their daily lives - however, they do this, as is the case with the vasulu style (based on the traditional ritual songs of African hunters), in a dance-shamanistic manner, enchanting and introducing the listener into the spatial- audible trance.
